Complete Guide to Getting a Passport in 2025 (With Updated Fees)

A passport is an official travel document issued by Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration that serves as both your identity and your permit for international travel. Whether you’re traveling abroad for vacation, study, work, religious pilgrimage (Umrah or Hajj), or other personal matters, a valid passport is essential.

Starting December 17, 2024, new passport fees came into effect under Government Regulation (PP) No. 45 of 2024. Along with the updated prices, you now also have the option of a 10-year validity period, meaning fewer renewals and more convenience for frequent travelers.
