The Consortium Led by Inspiration Habibie Ready to Strengthen PT Bank Muamalat Tbk

 
Jakarta, 3 October 2018 - Ilham Habibie as President Commissioner of Bank Muamalat leads a consortium of investors consisting of Ilham Habibie, Panigoro Family, Asian Lynx, SSG Capital, stating its commitment to strengthen PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk ("Bank Muamalat").

Bank Muamalat President Commissioner Ilham Habibie said, "Bank Muamalat as the first bank is purely sharia which has historical and emotional value for Muslims throughout Indonesia, therefore, we are committed to maintaining its existence."

Furthermore Ilham Habibie said, "The consortium will conduct a series of strengthening where one of them is injecting fresh funds through a rights issue."
 
                                                    

President Director of Bank Muamalat Achmad K. Permana said, "With the certainty of the consortium of investors who have entered, it will certainly greatly support the strengthening of the current Bank Muamalat and future business plans. We are confident that the presence of Ilham Habibie who leads the consortium of investors will give confidence to the customers and stakeholders of Bank Muamalat. "

As part of the plan to strengthen Bank Muamalat, on October 11, 2018 an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) will be held with one of the agenda being a rights issue. "In the future, the company is optimistic that Bank Muamalat's capital will be stronger and more stable, so that the company's efforts to expand financing can run well," Permana concluded.
