Bank Muamalat Indonesia Together with Baitul Maal Muamalat Establishes Cooperation with Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO)

Jakarta, 11 February 2020 - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. together with Baitulmaal Muamalat in collaboration with Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), a non-profit organization or NGO owned by the kingdom of Jordan. JHCO is registered with the Jordanian Ministry of Social Affairs and is under the direct supervision of the kingdom.

This cooperation is a reciprocal campaign to raise Ziswaf & humanitarian funds in Indonesia and will be distributed to refugees in Palestine that are being accommodated by Jordan. Palestinian refugees are the largest refugees in the world with around 5.9 million people, of which nearly 50% are in Jordan.

The ceremonial signing of the memorandum of understanding was held on Tuesday, 11 February 2020 at Muamalat Tower. Bank Muamalat was represented by Director of Retail Business Purnomo B. Soetadi, JHCO was represented by General Secretary of JHCO Ayman Al Mufleh and BMM was represented by Teten Kustiawan as Executive Director.

This collaboration certainly reinforces the positioning of Bank Muamalat that as the first Islamic bank in Indonesia, Bank Muamalat is not only a bank that provides products and services related to Muamalah, but is also able to provide products and services that provide solutions and facilities for the community to carry out social worship. good zakat, donation, alms, endowments, and sacrifice for the good of others.

It is hoped that this collaboration can become a blessing and reward field for those involved to help others. As said of the Prophet "khairunnas man yanfa’unnas" which means that the best human beings are useful for other humans.
