Muamalat Wins 3 Awards as the Best Public Private Bank

Jakarta, September 20, 2018 - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. ("Bank Muamalat") won an award at the Indonesian TBK Corporate Award-V-2018.

The award initiated by the Economic Review Magazine named Bank Muamalat as the two best private banks in the BUKU II group for 9 categories for the 2017 financial year.

The award was given on Wednesday, September 19 2018 at Puridani Auditorium, IPMI International Business School, South Jakarta. Present to receive this award were Head of Bank Muamalat Marketing Communication & Priority Segmentation Supriati Nugroho Pernamawati, Bank Muamalat Head of Learning & Management Talent Anton Hendrianto and Head of Public & Media Relations Bank Muamalat Indah Dirgahayu Putri Pertiwi.

Bank Muamalat Corporate Secretary Ali Akbar Hutasuhut said, the award obtained by the company was the result of the collective work of all parties in Bank Muamalat. In addition, the GCG principle is always applied in every business operational activity at Bank Muamalat.

"We are grateful that Bank Muamalat has become a public company that has received appreciation for its positive performance. "Our principle is that every innovation launched must be based on the values of society that are in line with corporate governance from the National Committee on Governance," he said.

Ali explained, the implementation of GCG carried out by Bank Muamalat refers to Bank Indonesia Regulation No.11 / 33 / PBI / 2009 and Bank Indonesia Circular Letter No.12 / 13 / DPbS in 2010 concerning the implementation of GCG for sharia commercial banks and sharia business units.

Previously, Bank Muamalat has received similar awards for three categories, namely Human Capital, Marketing and Corporate Secretary & Corporate Communication from Economic Review for the 2016 financial year assessment.

As information, Bank Muamalat recorded a net profit increase (profit after tax) of 246.26% year on year (yoy) throughout the quarter II-2018. The company's net profit as of June 2018 was recorded at IDR 103.74 billion from the previous value of IDR 29.96 billion in June 2017. This achievement is the highest record of net profit achieved by Bank Muamalat in the last 3 years.
