Bank Muamalat Becomes Peruri Pay's First Partner

Jakarta, September 26, 2019 - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. was chosen as Peruri Pay's first partner bank, Perum Peruri's digital payment facility. Peruri Pay is used in the Hayuni application developed by PT Hayuni Aman Sejahtera and is used to support Umrah payment activities and umrah savings transfer media.

Bank Muamalat's Retail Business Director Purnomo B. Soetadi said the cooperation between his party and Peruri would complement each other because both of them had advantages in their respective industries. Bank Muamalat has products and services specifically designed for Hajj and Umrah, while Peruri as a state money printing company has a long track record in the field of payment systems.

"Bank Muamalat and Peruri will complement each other. As the first Islamic bank in the country we have a good positioning in the Hajj and Umrah industry. While Peruri has competence in terms of payment systems and digital security, "he said.

Peruri Pay will facilitate Umrah pilgrims in terms of payment because it can be accessed anywhere. In addition, this service minimizes the risk of misuse of pilgrims funds because they conduct transactions directly through the alias application without intermediaries. With methods like this can reduce the risk of failing to leave the Umrah pilgrims.

Through this collaboration Bank Muamalat acts as an operational bank for the Umrah pilgrims savings fund. Bank Muamalat itself has a Umrah Savings Plan product that can be used by pilgrims and travel agents. One of its superior features is the 1hram Shar-E ATM card (read: ihram). This card can be used at more than 18,000 ATMs bearing the VISA logo in the Holy Land.

In addition, Bank Muamalat has a one-stop service aimed at the Hajj Umrah organizers association which is also named 1Hram (1 Stop Service for Hajj & Umrah Muamalat). This service is in the form of a special floor in Muamalat Tower which can be used as a representative office of various pilgrimage associations.

Bank Muamalat currently has a market share of 16% for regular hajj and 50% for the portion of special hajj (high end segment) of the total national hajj portion. The special haj market share of Muamalat Bank is the biggest contributor compared to other Islamic banks. The advantage possessed by Muamalat is the one-stop service that guarantees the practicality of customers in registering the portion of Hajj.
