Strengthen Information Technology, Bank Muamalat Wins 2 Awards

Jakarta, 31 August 2018 - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. ("Bank Muamalat") received 2 awards for its efforts to strengthen banking information technology.

The first award came from TRAS N CO., A consulting company that focused on research related to the development of brands and businesses in Indonesia. Bank Muamalat's mobile banking application was chosen as the best for the category of Islamic banks in the 2018 Indonesia Mobile Application Choice Award.
 
The award ceremony was held on Thursday, 30 August 2018 at Ayana Midplaza Hotel, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Jakarta. Andy Chairil Kamili, Head of E Business Management at Bank Muamalat, was present as the recipient of the award.
 
Bank Muamalat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Achmad K. Permana said, mobile applications play an important role in a bank's business in the digital era like today. Therefore, this award is the fruit of the company's hard work in developing user friendly mobile applications.
"Mobile banking in the digital era like today can be said to be an asset as well as an investment. Therefore we continue to develop features in the Bank Muamalat mobile application to provide added value to our customers, "he said.
 
He added, Bank Muamalat's mobile banking is part of an integrated application called Muamalat Mobile. The application also includes virtual account features, Internet Banking access, ATM location information and branches, Qibla direction and prayer schedule.
 
TRAS N CO conducts surveys during April-June 2018 using a quantitative methodology with an internet-based approach. Previously, Bank Muamalat also received an award as The Best Indonesia '2018 Corporate Social Initiative Award in the Social Marketing & CRM category from MIX Marcomm Magazine. The appreciation was given at the company's initiative to make mosque management training in a number of regions.

Permana said, the program was indeed designed with the aim of prospering mosques in the digital era. Therefore, in the training, the smart-MASJID application was introduced as a digital tool for receiving donations for zakat, infaq, sedekah (ZIS) reporting.
 
"We designed the mosque management training program to prosper the mosque by utilizing digital technology. Thus the management of the mosque becomes more accountable and trustworthy, "he added.
 
For the training, Bank Muamalat cooperated with a number of parties including the Ministry of Religion, Baznas and Islamic organizations. The total number of mosques whose management has been trained is more than 3000.
 
In addition to mosque management, Bank Muamalat also implements the Hajj portion referral program with takmir mosques and provides BPJS Employment subsidies for marbots who will pay the premium for one year through LAZ Bank Muamalat namely Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM).
