The Konahe Regency Mosque Repair Program in Southeast Sulawesi

The flood disaster that struck Konawe and North Konawe Regencies in Southeast Sulawesi in June 2019 still left deep sorrow for the local community. Thousands of people were displaced and hundreds of houses and public facilities were damaged.

One of the public facilities needed is a mosque. Then, Bank Muamalat together with Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM) took the initiative to carry out renovation of the mosque through the "Benah-Masjid Mosque" program with a total assistance of Rp1.6 billion. This assistance was given to 12 mosques affected by flooding in Konawe District, Southeast Sulawesi.

As part of this activity, the Nurul Jihad Mosque has been completely renovated and two mosques are under construction, the Bamboo Taubat Mosque and the Nurul Huda Mosque in Pondidaha District. While revamping the nine other mosques will be carried out in stages.

Hopefully with this assistance, the community can return to worship comfortably and the Konawe community will be more eager to emigrate.
