Prohajj Signature

Product Details

ProHajj Signature is a financing product which allows customer to book Hajj Plus quota and prepare its whole payment starting from the first Hajj Plus Payment (Biaya Penyelenggaraan Ibadah Haji Khusus or Bipih Khusus), the second Hajj Plus Payment and the additional payment required, depends on the facility that is provided by the chosen Hajj Plus Organizer (Penyelenggara Ibadah Haji Khusus or PIHK). This service itself is provided by Bank Muamalat which originally belonged to the Hajj Plus Organizer under an Ijarah Multijasa contract.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Indonesian citizen (WNI) residing in Indonesia.
  2. Age minimum 21 years old or legally married, and not older than 65 years at the time of financing maturity date.
  3. Employed customer (permanent/contract), self-employed, or a professional are allowed to apply.
  4. Minimum 3 months in business or working as an employee/professional.
  5. Minimum income of IDR 7 million.
  6. Willing to pay  the initial financing fee as required by the terms.
  7. Required documents :

    - Copy of ID (e-KTP)
    - Copy of TIN (NPWP)

What is ProHajj Signature Financing?

ProHajj Signature Financing is a financing product designed to assist prospective Hajj pilgrims in preparing for the registration and departure of their Hajj Plus (ONH Plus), including providing the help to fulfil the whole Payment of Hajj Plus (Biaya Perjalanan Haji Khusus or Bipih Khusus).

The product is based on Sharia principles with an Ijarah Multijasa contract as the underlying for Bank Muamalat to provide the Hajj Plus service which originally belonged to its partner, the Hajj Plus Organizers (Penyelenggara Ibadah Haji Khusus or PIHK).

What services are included in the Hajj Plus Package?

The Hajj Plus Package includes:

  1. Hajj Plus registration service.
  2. Preparation for the departure of Hajj Plus.
  3. Fulfilling the whole Payment of Hajj Plus (Bipih Khusus) including the first payment, the second payment and the additional payment required, in order for customers to experience the best facilities and hospitality provided by the Hajj Plus Organizer chosen by the customers themselves.

How long is the waiting period for the Hajj Plus?

How long is the financing tenor for ProHajj Signature?

The financing tenor ranges from 12 to 96 months (1–8 years)

What happens if my departure schedule comes earlier than the completion of my ProHajj Signature financing?

Prospective Hajj pilgrims will only be eligible for departure once the selected Hajj Plus Organizer (PIHK) confirms that they have entered the departure period and the customer's financing obligations have been fully settled with Bank Muamalat.

Customers may either wait until the financing term is completed or make an early settlement using their own funds.

Does ProHajj Signature Financing comply with Sharia principles?

The product is based on the following Sharia references:

  1. DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 29/DSN-MUI/VI/ 2002 regarding Hajj Financing Management by Islamic Financial Institutions.
  2. DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 112/DSN-MUI/IX/ 2017 regarding the Ijarah contract.
  3. Under a direct supervision by the Bank Muamalat Sharia Supervisory Board.

Will the cost of the Hajj Plus change in the future?

Yes. The cost or Hajj Plus fees may increase in the future, due to:

  1. Government policies regarding the minimum amount of Hajj Plus fee (Bipih Khusus).
  2. Sharply increasing transportation, accomodation, other service fees in the host country, including the Hajj fee regulations from Saudi Arabia, the exchange retes (currency) or the airfare. This may require the Hajj Plus Organizers (PIHK) to adjust the package price. Customers are advised to review the applicable terms and conditions of their chosen PIHK.

What are Ujrah and the Accommodation Booking Fee?

  1. Ujrah is as simple as administration fee, ujroh is essentially a fee or compensation for services provided by the Bank and Hajj Plus Organizers (PIHK. In this case, Bank Muamalat and its partner PIHK provide services related to the administration and utilization of the Hajj Plus Package, for which customers are required to pay ujrah to the Bank.
  2. Accommodation Booking Fees are fees required by the Hajj Plus Organizers (PIHK) to be paid by the customers upfront to cover additional services provided by the organizer. This fee is not included in the financed components by the Bank.

How much are the initial Ujrah and The Accommodation Booking Fee?

  1. The initial ujrah for ProHajj Signature Financing starts from IDR 5,000,000.
  2. The Accommodation Booking Fee is USD 1,000.

Notes:

The amount of the initial ujrah and the Accommodation Booking Fee depend on the Hajj Plus Organizers (PIHK) that is chosen by applicants.

Why am I charged Ujrah? What components are included in the Ujrah calculation?

Ujroh is being charged as a compensation for some services provided by the Bank and Hajj Plus Organizers (PIHK) such as financing approval process that runs with a financing system, Siskohat (Hajj registration system), delivery services, document safekeeping services, as well as other banking services rendered throughout the financing period.

Mengapa ada Ujroh diawal dan ujroh dicicil?

Normally, Ujroh has to be paid one time upfront in order for a service provider to provide their service. However, to ease the customer's financial obligation, it is divided into two components:

  1. An initial ujrah, paid before financing disbursement, which covers financing application processing services.
  2. An installment-based ujrah, paid throughout the financing period, which covers Special Hajj registration and administration services, system usage, document delivery and storage, as well as Hajj departure preparation and settlement services.

Can I make an early settlement of my financing?

Yes, the customers are allowed to do an early settlement of their financing, only if it covers all outstanding obligations of their financing.

Are customers of this financing required to pay insurance fees?

ProHajj Signature Financing customers are not required to pay insurance fees, as well as obliged to be covered by life insurance or financing guarantee insurance.

Am I required to submit proof of income?

Submission of income documents is optional.

What is RTJU?

It’s a non-transactional Savings Account for Hajj Pilgrims in IDR currency. This savings account is specifically for financing purposes and debit of administrative fees (such as initial ujrah) and down payment.

What is RTJD?

It’s a non-transactional Savings Account for Hajj Pilgrims in USD currency. This savings account is used to hold customer funds and serves as the source account for transferring the Hajj Plus Fee (Biaya Perjalanan Ibadah Haji Khusus or Bipih Khusus) to the Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji (BPKH) account.

What is the Departure Down Payment (DP)? How is it different from the initial Ujrah?

The Hajj Departure Down Payment (DP) is an upfront payment toward the selected Hajj Plus Package. The package includes the first Payment of Hajj Plus (Bipih Khusus), the second Payment of Hajj Plus (Bipih Khusus), and the additional payment required by the selected Hajj Plus Organizers (PIHK).

The Hajj Departure Down Payment is charged for the Hajj Plus Package determined by the Government and the selected PIHK.

In contrast, ujrah is charged for services outside the Hajj Plus Package, such as registration processing, departure preparation, and all related administrative services provided throughout the financing process.

Which family members can be registered in this program?

Eligible family members include::

  1. Their Spouse.
  2. Their Biological children.
  3. Their Parents.
  4. Their Parents-in-law.
  5. Their Siblings.
  6. Their Son-in-law or daughter-in-law.

If I have already registered for Hajj, either for Regular Hajj or Hajj Plus. Can I still apply for ProHajj Signature?

It’s not allowed, however, the following options are available:

  1. If you already have registered for Regular Hajj, you may independently cancel your Hajj registration through the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. The refunded amount may then be used as the Departure Down Payment for ProHajj Signature.
  2. If you already have registered for Hajj Plus, you are advised to first compare the services offered by your current PIHK with those offered under ProHajj Signature before cancelling your existing quota and applying through a new Prohajj Signature PIHK of your choice.
